It’s Like Being A Pumpkin

A friend on Facebook posted this…

A woman was asked by a coworker, ‘What is it like to be a Christian?’

The co-worker replied: ‘It’s like being a pumpkin.’ God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then, He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.

He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then, He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.’

Don’t you hate it? I hate it. I don’t feel dirty, hateful or full of yucky stuff. In fact, I’d say I’m even more like a pumpkin, in that I grow and will eventually die and couldn’t give a rat’s ass if you think I’m dirty because I’m a goddamn pumpkin! Also, if you think my insides are yucky, leave them the fuck alone. Also, my seeds are delicious. And full of fiber! So eat me!
